Remarks on Mie's Electrodynamics

Authors: Martin Kraus

Mie's electrodynamics shares several features with a specific modified Born-Infeld field theory, including nonlinearity, lack of gauge invariance, and particle-like solutions of negative energy and mass. Unfortunately, Mie has never identified suitable field equations to completed his theory. The present remarks discuss potential reasons that might have prevented Mie and other physicists of his time from researching the kind of field equations underlying the mentioned modified Born-Infeld field theory.

Methodology of Science and the "Hierarchical" Logic of Dmytro Krivenko (Dedicated to the 84th Anniversary of the Birth of Dmytro Tarasovych Krivenko (30 October 1941 — 4 October 1994))

Authors: Yaroslav D. Kivenko-Emetov

This article examines the philosophical and methodological legacy of Dmytro Tarasovych Krivenko (1941—1994) on the occasion of the 84th anniversary of his birth. As one of the most original Ukrainian thinkers of the late Soviet period, Krivenko developed a textit{hierarchical model of cognition} and proposed textit{hierarchical logic} as a complement—rather than a negation—of dialectical logic. His works represent an attempt to reinterpret the epistemological foundations of science beyond both positivism and dogmatic materialism. Reconsidering the crisis of Western metaphysics from antiquity to the twentieth century, the study places Krivenko’s ideas within the broader context of the global discourse on materialism as a methodological principle rather than as a worldview.

Engineering Options to Intercept "A House of Dynamite" Attack

Authors: Tariq Khan

An informal essay proposing engineering designs or options that could help the United States intercept a single missile rogue nuclear attack like that presented in the 2025 Netflix motion picture film "A House of Dynamite." Theoretical modern technology designs are presented that the United States Department of Defense and advanced military armament and space organizations can consider for possible near-term and future platforms including "Golden Dome" proposals.
